COACHING AND TRAINING

What is Mandabar?

Mandabar is a product and services company focused on Human Longevity. We provide consulting and coaching services to help anyone interested in getting the most out of life.

The Latin term  Mandābar is a specific verb form that means “I was being entrusted”. It is our mission to be a trusted resource to help you achieve your longevity health goals.

Longevity Consulting focuses on a highly specialized analysis and strategy creation. The consultant acts as a subject-matter expert who will deliver a specific, actionable set of recommendations to optimize your health. While coaching is a long-term, supportive partnership focused on accountability and habit implementation, consulting provides the expert blueprint—the strategic “what-to-do”—which you can then execute independently or use as the foundation for your ongoing coaching relationship.

No; the service complements your PCP, and will work with you and your PCP to develop and implement a holistic program.

What is Longevity?

Longevity refers to the length of time an individual lives, with a modern focus on extending the healthspan—the years lived free from significant disease, disability, and cognitive decline. It is the comprehensive goal of living a longer, healthier, and more active life by optimizing health through lifestyle, nutrition, cellular science, and personalized interventions.

Longevity Coaching is a personalized, science-backed guidance service dedicated to extending your healthspan—the years you live in optimal health. Unlike general wellness advice, our coaching begins with analyzing your unique needs through objective data (such as bloodwork, biometric data, and lifestyle assessments) to uncover the root causes of aging specific to you. We then create and help you consistently implement a custom roadmap across key pillars—advanced nutrition, strategic exercise, sleep optimization, and stress management—providing the accountability and expert knowledge necessary to achieve a longer, more vigorous, and fully independent life.

The investment in longevity coaching starts at $300 for a one time consulting fee for an individualized longevity plan that may be self implemented.

Ongoing coaching packages range from $500 to $1,500 per month. Fundamental Coaching (focusing primarily on lifestyle and habit implementation) starts on the lower end of the range.

The price reflects the personalization and depth of the program. To receive a precise quote for our services, please visit our [Link to Pricing Page] or schedule a complimentary discovery call to discuss which package best fits your goals.

During a one hour assessment we will discuss your current goals and needs. Provide a questionnaire for you to take to your PCP for primary risks analysis. Provide guidance and direction for identifying and scheduling advanced diagnostics including; comprehensive bloodwork (60+ biomarkers, hormones, inflammation), genetic/epigenetic testing, body composition (DEXA scan), VO2 Max testing, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), and gut microbiome analysis. The scope and details will be individualized by your needs and budget.

Various packages are available that range anywhere from a one-time consultant package that will assess your needs and provide an individualized longevity plan that you can implement on your own to on-demand daily coaching services. A typical plan will include an individualized plan with a weekly or monthly coaching call.

Generally No; typically longevity and preventative health services are outside most traditional insurance models.

MANDABAR

Why a chocolate bar?

There are many food items and ingredients that have been shown through various studies and meta-analyses to be good for human health and longevity.  We were looking for a more convenient way to eat them. We realized that by combining some of them, we could make chocolate. So, we tried to combine as many as we could into a single “longevity bar”.

Compound chocolate is a variation of “Dark Chocolate”, but without the extra saturated fat. To legally call something “Dark Chocolate” requires it to contain a certain percentage of cocoa butter, but this increases the saturated fat content. By substituting other ingredients such as Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Avocado Oil we were able to reduce the unwanted saturated fats and increase the preferred Mono Unsaturated Fats and Poly unsaturated Fats (MUFAs & PUFAs).

What are the ingredients and why were they chosen?

Vanilla, particularly pure vanilla extract and vanilla beans, offers several health benefits that may contribute to overall well-being and potentially support longevity. These benefits are primarily attributed to its rich content of antioxidants and other beneficial compounds, notably vanillin and vanillic acid.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has garnered significant attention for its potential to promote health and longevity, primarily due to its rich composition of bioactive compounds, particularly gingerols and shogaols.

Turmeric, and more specifically its active compound curcumin is thought to contribute to longevity through;  Telomere Maintenance, Modulating Sirtuins, Powerful Antioxidant Properties,  Anti-inflammatory Effects, Brain Health Protection and Cellular Senescence Reduction.

Coconut is rich in MCTs, particularly lauric acid. Some studies suggest MCTs may aid in fat burning and satiety, which can contribute to maintaining a healthy weight.

Olive oil, particularly extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), is widely recognized for its numerous health benefits, many of which contribute to increased longevity. These benefits are largely attributed to its unique composition of healthy fats and powerful bioactive compounds, especially polyphenols.

Hazelnuts and their content of magnesium, potassium, and beneficial fats can help regulate blood pressure and support better circulation.  The combination of antioxidants (like vitamin E) and healthy fats in hazelnuts supports cognitive function, helps slow cognitive decline, and may reduce the risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Green tea is increasingly recognized for its potential to promote longevity and healthy aging, largely due to its rich content of beneficial compounds, particularly polyphenols called catechins. Among these, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the most abundant and well-studied, demonstrating significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Brazil nuts are highly regarded for their potential health benefits related to longevity, primarily due to their exceptionally high selenium content and other beneficial nutrients.

Cardamom, a fragrant spice from the ginger family, has several health benefits that may contribute to longevity, primarily through its potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Macadamia nuts contain powerful antioxidants like flavonoids and tocotrienols (a form of Vitamin E). These compounds help to combat free radicals, which are unstable molecules that cause cellular damage and contribute to aging and disease.

Dark Amber Maple Syrup contains a higher concentration of antioxidants compared to lighter grades. These antioxidants, including various polyphenols (like benzoic acid, gallic acid, cinnamic acid, catechin, epicatechin, rutin, and quercetin), help combat free radicals in the body.

Raw Cacao is gaining significant attention for its potential health benefits, particularly concerning longevity. These benefits are largely attributed to its rich content of compounds like flavonoids (especially flavanols such as epicatechin and catechin), polyphenols, and theobromine. This is the key component of “Dark Chocolate” responsible for its numerous health benefits.

Raw Honey contains varying amounts of vitamins (like B vitamins and vitamin C), minerals (such as zinc, potassium, and phosphorus), amino acids, and enzymes. These nutrients contribute to overall bodily function, support the immune system, and may help maintain metabolic and cardiovascular health by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing blood glucose, and improving lipid profiles. These factors are all important for healthy aging.

COOK BOOK

Why a Cookbook?

As people have asked us what we do, the conversation invariably leans toward diet and exercise. Over the past few years we have amassed a number of high protein, nutrient dense recipes. So we decided to put them into a cookbook that was centered around longevity.

As we get older (around the age of 35) our bodies tend to become less efficient at synthesizing and utilizing dietary protein. As a result we start to lose about 1% of skeletal muscle mass per year. Adequate protein both daily and per meal (along with strength training) can help mitigate and even reverse this effect.

Isn’t too much protein bad for kidney health?

The short answer is, “No”.  Unless someone already has impaired kidney function that a high protein diet has not been shown to negatively impact kidney health.

Each recipe has the Nutrition Facts listed below it.  Just like the Nutrition Facts Label that you will find on foods in the grocery store.  There is also a page on how to read Nutrition Facts Labels, a list of atypical pantry staples and one page guide for meal planning.
